PATTI SMITH: HORSES 30th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL This one-hour music-intensive program honors the 30th anniversary of Patti Smith's debut album, Horses - a mix of poetry and wild rock and roll that is as powerful and influential today as it was in 1975. Rita Houston (WFUV, New York, NY) hosts, and you'll hear comments by Patti Smith, her collaborators Lenny Kaye and John Cale, and journalist Anthony DeCurtis. In addition to newly remastered tracks from the original album, the special also features live versions of "Horses" songs as recorded in 2005 with special guests Tom Verlaine and Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers).
